For our key client, newly established Aircraft Engines MRO Facility near Wrocław we are looking for experienced professional for the position of Head of Engine Test Cell.
The purpose of the role is todevelop and implement an integrated Test Cell management & operations concept during the planning & construction phase of the company. In the phase of routineoperation, the position owner shall lead the Test Cell department ensuring efficient, fully functioning engine test operations.
Head of Engine Test Cell will be responsible at first for planning, implementing and managing test cell build-up and equipment selection and installation for engine test operation, assuringtimely start of operation for engine test cell (engine shake down & correlation) and organising, leading and developing a team of test cell engineers & mechanics in various specialist disciplines. Moreover duties of HoETC will be to plan and monitor appropriate test cell staffing levels, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, environmental and regulatory requirements and also supervise maintenance and repair of the test cell and its equipment. Responsibilities also include conducting and documenting regular test cell inspections and implementing best practice processes to increase efficiency. Important will be also to prepare and track test cell budget, monitor expenses and payments. Besides generate and present regular reports and reviews of test cell-related budgets, finances, contracts, expenditures and purchases and also monitor performance using self-defined KPIs.
Ideal candidate for the role should posses the experience with Engine Test Cells set-up and operation
and several years work experience of supplying and maintaining production and manufacturing facilities and machines (preffered industry: Aviation or Automotive).Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with relevant major (e.g. Turbomachinery Engineering, Aerospace Engineering) is expected.Bachelor's degree in business may be suitable if paired with highly relevant major and substantial job experience. Master's degree in relevant discipline is preferred, but not required. In terms of technical skills and knowledge ideal candidate should posses good knowledge of project management, established skills in test cell management, planning and technical equipment and installation. Besides skills and experience in development and realisation of modern service concepts, working knowledge of human resource management principles and practices (e.g. experience with Teaming) and also working knowledge of procurement and contracts. Important will be also to have a sound knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations, paired with knowledge of Polish regulations. Ideal candidate will be also the person who is having strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to work under pressure and decision making skills. Fluency in English is required, Polish & German would be beneficial.
