manage complex new product development projects with a stage gate product development process
secure achievement of project targets in regard to product value proposition, quality, timeline, and budget
work closely with project manager to align customer requirements and production technologies
partner with project manager to achieve cost target
work closely with quality manager to understand testing process and how this impacts product performance
consult with quality manager to understand product risk and project risk analysis process and results, incorporate recommendations in overall project plan
support new designs from concept to launch including conceptual design, detailed design, component and material selection
participate in international/interdisciplinary projects
willingness to travel

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required, preferably mechanical or civil engineering; Master’s Degree preferred, ideally combined with business experience
min. 2 years of experience with cooperation in VW Group (or some other German automotive company)
good written and oral communication skills: English and German
ability to inspire interdisciplinary teams
high commitment, self
responsibility and customer orientation
focus on defining what needs to be done and getting things done
strong working knowledge of VDA
familiar with norms: FMEA, APQP (RGA), PPAP, SPC, Formal
