Cloud Security Engineer (100% remotely!)

For our Client we are looking for a Cloud Security Engineer!

Functions and Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with Information Security and compliance team to develop Cloud security architecture and maturity standards
• Evaluate and respond to alerts and events from the security tools
• Develop and maintain documentation and diagrams for security tools, system environments, and cloud operations
• Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
• Work within a DevOps security model so that security is automated and elastic across all cloud platforms
• Work closely with functional-area architects, engineering, and security specialists throughout the company to ensure adequate security solutions and controls are in place throughout all cloud systems and platforms
• Responsible for automating security controls, data and processes to provide better metrics and operational support
• Interpret Cloud security and technical requirements into business requirements and communicate security risks to relevant stakeholders ranging from senior IT leadership to engineers.

Skills & Knowledge

• At lease 4+ years" experience deploying services on public cloud infrastructure
• 4+ years of security with at least 2 years with securing AWS environments
• Proven experience of supporting IT/Security Infrastructure
• Agile mindset and DevOps philosophies
• Strong experience in security automation and tool development to secure cloud infrastructures
• Experience in developing infrastructure-as-a-code using Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.
• Good understanding of AWS logs such as VPC Flowlogs, CloudTrail, S3, ELB, and CloudFront.

Minimum Qualifications

• 4+ years with cloud security
• 4+ years of experience with IaaS environments such as MS Azure, AWS, GCP
• Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP networking, architecture, access control, security groups, and core technologies (such as DNS, DHCP, HTTP, Routing, VPN),
• Understanding of modern cloud technology components and deployment patterns: virtual machines, containers, Kubernetes, serverless, infrastructure as code, etc.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Experience implementing & administering large scalable cloud environments.
