MySQL Administrator

Key responsibilities:

• Observe to SLAs;
• Oracle Database Basic Administration and Latest Features;
• Cooperate with the Track Lead / Team Lead;
• Database Resource Management and Task Scheduling;
• Increasing and maintains customer and employee satisfaction;
• Support team members in case of Issues/Technical Problems;
• Experience in cloning using cold backup, hot-backup and RMAN backup;
• Be responsible for building / maintaining a test environment;
• Processing tickets / requests;
• Fixing technical issues;
• Insuring that the processes are adhered to;
• Introduction of new technologies and design changes;
• Realizations of Backup/Restoration Strategy for 24x7 operation support;
• Enforcement patches/upgrades to maintain security level Technical Requirements;
• Set up of Oracle Software/Database Pre-requisites;
• Supporting instance parameters and system settings;
• Implementation and Testing security patches to the databases;
• Controlling User Accounts;
• Strong knowledge of 10g/11g features as Data Pump, ASM and Flash back recovery;
• Automated File and Storage Management;
• Knowledge in basic Performance Tuning and Monitoring using various tools such as AWR, TKPROF and Explain Plan.
• Accessibility Management for Databases;
• Planning Database Backups, taking Logical Backups & Physical Backups;
• Migrating databases using various tools such as SQL*Loader, Import/Export and Data pump.

Skills:

• Excellent working knowledge of MySQL;
• Has a strong with Database Migration, Installation, Upgrades and Patching - Datacenter understanding;
• Will be a big plus, a knowledge of Other RDBMS;
• Expertise in PL/SQL and worked on ER Diagrams;
• Knowledge of MS OFFICE;
• Hand-on knowledge on Cluster ware;
• Worked on Production systems.
