For our Client, Scandinavian energy company, we are currently looking for Candidates to work as a Lead Financial Consultant in the Internal Controls Team.
You will be responsible for the scoping and continuous risk assessment of financial reporting risks and environmental, social and governance reporting risks. Moreover, your scope of duties will cover monitoring and evaluating on the control self-assessments performed across Finance and providing advisory support to the control owners and contributors. Your key tasks will be also to establish quality assurance programme regarding the control of self-assessments. On this position you will be responsible for reviewing existing financial control procedures, recommending control improvements and standardisation. In addition, you’ll prepare bi-annual presentations to the Audit & Risk Committee regarding internal control and risk management and manage or participate in ad hoc projects relating to internal control and risk management. The tasks will be carried out in close dialogue with both colleagues in the internal controls team, but particularly with control and risk owners and contributors across Finance as well as internal and external auditors. In 2019, the ad hoc projects are expected to be in relation to the implementation of a new control management system.
We are looking for Candidates who have university degree within controlling or audit and substantial experience (approx. 3-5 years) within internal controls in an international group or from an internal or external audit. Fluency in English - written and spoken is a must. Your competences include that you have strong knowledge of concepts related to internal controls and experience with internal control systems/tools. We are looking for candidate with an analytical and logical approach to issues as well as a critical sense to information received. You should expect around 10 travelling days per year in relation to your work.
