Software Engineer for Windows Applications

Unit description:
We are looking for Software Engineer for Windows applications to join our "Derivatives" team in Łódź. The Unit Derivatives is responsible for about 31 applications related to the Commerzbank AGs investment banking area to ensure transaction and confirmation processes in Foreign Exchange (FX), FX Options, Money Market (MM), Commodities, Derivatives, Exchange Trade Derivatives (ETDs) etc. The Unit is working in intercultural and virtual teams across Germany, Poland and Czech Republic.
In your role as Software Engineer you will be responsible for the implementation and engineering of International Loan and Collateral Management applications. This role will provide you to increase your skills and knowledge regarding applications with large volume of interfaces to many investment banking applications.
Main responsibilities:
- Testing new vendor software versions and patches
- Implementation new “Branches” within data structure and data model
- Managing and implementing of interfaces (file or Oracle based)
- Reading and understanding SQL and Perl scripts
- Assist the Business Analysts with problem analysis and resolution
Our preferences go to candidates with:
- Finished degree in computer science and 2-4 years of working experience in the fields named above especially with Windows applications
- Readiness to learn the design and implementation of Loan IQ application
- Knowledge of SQL and Perl
- Good to have: knowledge in Windows Server 2k8/2k12, Oracle, Unix, .NET
- Good motivation and team spirit
- Strong target and excellent costumer orientation
- Language skills: English B1
