ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST
SUMMARY
Complete ownership of the Balance Sheet of entities, including delivery of month end and quarter end results.
Complete ownership of legal entity matters, including statutory accounts, internal and external audit, tax compliance.
Ensure finance process work smoothly, such as payroll, purchasing, expense reports
Manage complex outsourced relationship, including with ADP (payroll), Deloitte (statutory accounting, tax compliance)
Actively participate in corporate initiatives, including process improvement, new system implementation, acquisitions, through country specific and discipline specific knowledge
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage month end process
- Ensure corporate centres process transactions in a timely manner
- Ensure other departments submit adjustments in a timely manner
- Report results to Corporate
- Complete the account reconciliations.
- Identify and execute action items to resolve reconciliation variances.
- Reporting qualifying risk items.
Manage Internal Controls
- Frequent review of accounting transactions to ensure compliance with accounting policies.
- Running risk review process.
- Completing flux analysis.
- Maintaining supporting documentation and sub-ledger information.
- Safeguarding company sensitive information/assets from unauthorized users.
Partner with Associates in Other Business Functions
- Providing data and reports to other function, including, but not limited to: Financial Planning, Tax, Legal, Sales, Logistics
- Partner with other function to resolve business issues. The Controller will be expected to provide country specific and discipline specific input
REQUIREMENT
- Qualified Accountant with significant experience within a large multinational organization
- Experience of US GAAP and reporting to tight deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience of working within a matrix structure
