Data Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our customers, a dynamic technology consultancy and software development partner. The project involves creating a data product designed to connect different data sources, transforming them into high-quality data products on a large scale.

Project information:

• Remote work: 100% remote
• Budget: 1020 - 1040 PLN/net/day + VAT
• Project duration: 9 Months (possible to extend the cooperation)
• Project language: English
• Start date: ASAP/ depending on the candidate's availability

Project scope:

• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture
• Build the infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data
• Implement data workloads, ETL, streaming, or messaging solutions to connect a variety of sources
• Monitor performance and advise on any necessary optimizations or infrastructure changes
• Maintain up-to-date data source to target mappings and relevant documentation for all code
• Establish and maintain the set of business reporting requirements
• Design and manage appropriate metadata repositories for greater understanding of data assets

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of relevant data engineering experience
• Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Scala, Java, Ruby, PHP, Go, Swift)
• Experienced in ETL tools and concepts
• Hands-on knowledge of Python and/or Java
• Understanding of data lakes, data warehouses, data integration, and data consumption
• Familiar with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka)
• Knowledge of data analytics applications (e.g., Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, Power BI, SAS, Tableau)
• Familiar with open-source technologies, especially Apache Foundation tools
• Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB)
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
• Understanding of code versioning tools (e.g., Git) and CI/CD practices
• Strong communication skills and fluent in English
