Job specification:
- Day to day administration and maintenance of over 200 databases as part of a global team working in follow the sun model
- Application administration from an Infrastructure perspective
- User creation and permissions assignment
- Database Backup and Restore with Oracle RMAN
- Database monitoring with Oracle Cloud control
- Performance troubleshooting
- DB Maintenance - indexes, statistics, table partitioning
- Perform Database Updates/Patches, CPU, RUP, etc.
- Support of applications working with database in scope
- Participation in weekend On-Call Duty (once per quarter)
Requirements:
- Experience with management and administration of Oracle database Server - installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, Data Guard configuration, basic performance tuning, Oracle Cloud Control monitoring
- Experience in administering different applications overall infrastructure
- Very good English
- Problem-solving and communication skills
- Knowledge of Amazon Cloud - RDS, EC2, S3 will be an advantage
