Oracle DBA

Job specification:

• Day to day administration and maintenance of over 200 databases as part of a global team working in follow the sun model
• Application administration from an Infrastructure perspective
• User creation and permissions assignment
• Database Backup and Restore with Oracle RMAN
• Database monitoring with Oracle Cloud control
• Performance troubleshooting
• DB Maintenance - indexes, statistics, table partitioning
• Perform Database Updates/Patches, CPU, RUP, etc.
• Support of applications working with database in scope
• Participation in weekend On-Call Duty (once per quarter)

Requirements:

• Experience with management and administration of Oracle database Server - installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, Data Guard configuration, basic performance tuning, Oracle Cloud Control monitoring
• Experience in administering different applications overall infrastructure
• Very good English
• Problem-solving and communication skills
• Knowledge of Amazon Cloud - RDS, EC2, S3 will be an advantage
