GL Accountant

For our client we look for the candidates on the following positions: GL Accountant

  • Assist General Ledger Manager and support to ensure operational performance and adherence to compliance requirements are achieved;
  • Participate in or lead special projects;
  • Support the GAAP reporting process through to timely & accurate submission;
  • Provide insight to management on business performance through metrics within GL processes;
  • Monitor and control activities related to GL processing system(s);
  • Monitor the execution of period end financial close activities;
  • Prepare  monthly journal entries and serve as a SME to other GL colleagues;
  • Participate in monthly  review meetings;
  • Handle accounting policy and procedure inquiries and ad hoc reporting and analysis requests;
  • Provide periodic customer / center training;
  • Develop and assist in automating processes utilizing innovative technical and processing solutions;
  • Maintain complete and accurate standard operating procedures and support control documentation requirements (SOX).
  • BS Degree or equivalent in Accounting;
  • 3+ years’ experience in Accounting;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, initiative;
  • Proficienct computer skills (MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint);
  • Experience with JDE and HFM;
  • Fluent English;
  • French /German/Spanish/ Dutch – added advantage.
