For our client, well-known global advanced technologies company currently we are looking for a suitable candidate on the position:
Senior Systems Administrator
This role is going to be based in Eastern Poland.
THE ROLE INVOLVES:
- Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators.
- Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space.
- Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
- Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
- Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
- Supporting multiple platforms and technologies, including EMC, Brocade, VMWARE & Wintel to ensure that business goals and objectives are met.
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Configuration and administration of FC and iSCSI Storage Area Networks (SAN).
- Configuration and administration of EMC enterprise and mid-range storage systems
- Daily Operations & Maintenance assisting system administrators and application engineers with storage performance or capacity issues, executing storage hardware and software maintenance, and provisioning storage as required.
- Remediation of IT security vulnerabilities (OS/Web-App/Network) through proactive measures.
- Design, Build, Test, Maintain and implement Enterprise VMWare Virtual Environment.
- Complies with enterprise and departmental policies, procedures and objectives.
- Attends variety of meetings, conferences, seminars as required or directed.
- Demonstrates use of Quality Improvement in daily operations.
- Maintain Disaster recovery plan
Required skills, qualifications and experience:
- Extensive experience in IT Infrastructure support, Design and Implementation of Wintel platform, System Administration and Technical support
- Experience on various versions of Windows Server operating systems which includes Windows 2008R2/2012R2
- Experience in one or more of the following: VMware, Hyper-V is a must
- Experience in Storage area networks (SAN) management
- Experience in Enterprise Storage systems management
- Knowledge of Data center environment maintenance, Windows Cluster build and management is a must
- Knowledge of DNS/DHCP/IPAM management
- Fluent English proficiency, both in speech and in writing.
- Good Communication and Analytical skills
- Ability to design solutions to reduce cost and increase productivity
- Certifications-MCSE,ITIL
- Knowledge on CISCO/Juniper network environment administration
- Knowledge of Security solutions
- Knowledge of Database systems, DB2, MS SQL, Oracle
