Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Your main mission is to ensure VAT Center of Excellence Team structure supports targets for growth, oversee direct reports supervising VAT activities performed by other VAT Specialist and implement VAT Center of Excellence processes and services. As EMEA VAT Center of Excellence Manager you will:

• Plan COE Team logistics in accordance with COE growth timeline for implementation and deployment;
• Develop reporting to COE customers (Finance / Controller Staff / Tax Staff);
• Improve common reporting tools for all in-scope countries / entities / VAT registrations;
• Consolidate status for regional monitoring, identify and report issues and root causes, propose actions;
• Build and maintain the budget for COE Team; responsible for budget realization;
• Continuously evaluate COE Team structure and performance for quality, process harmonization, cost optimization, VAT cash flow opportunities, assess capacity for scope increases;
• Support Finance and Tax in documenting common procedures for VAT activities;
• Ensure activities are delivered by COE Team in accordance with documented procedures, deliverables and timing;
• Ensure harmonization of procedures while deploying COE services to other countries and entities;
• Investigate IT solutions for optimization (software).
   

Essential requirements:

• Multinational experience, ability to interact within a global organization;
• Proven expertise on indirect tax compliance matters, including supporting VAT audits;
• Experience in migrating work to a centralized function;
• Proven experience in managing & developing teams;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to implement Company Strategic initiatives;
• Experience in driving change management;
• Strong excel/analytical capability;
• Fluent in English; another European language is an asset.
