Job description

Business Intelligence Specialists are reporting wizards who transform data into information with an array of latest BI tools at their disposal. They build and develop reports and dashboards based on the data from various financial and recruitment systems. They also assist with market research activities and help develop assets and collateral to support BI activities, including standard templates and inventories.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing data to create and deliver standard reports per agreed calendar
  • Analysing created reports to assure the calculated results are correct and consistent across all part of the reports
  • Implementing changes to standard reports, per agreed business requirements
  • Improving report delivery through process streamlining and automation
  • Participating in creating BI standards and in testing and implementing new tools
  • Delivering various analytical projects, per agreed business requirements
  • Participating in defining proper data sets and their transformation methodology to answer various business questions
  • Communicating with Clients – emails and calls – to collect their requirements related to regular reporting service and analytical projects, to understand their satisfaction from the service
  • Solving Client complaints related to reporting service
  • Archiving reports
  • Updating and creating report manuals
  • Applying all required security rules when it comes to processing sensitive data
  • Following Shared Service Centre processes related to documenting Client requests
  • Updating the Business Intelligence Content Library

Position Requirements:

  • Experience in working on regular and ad hoc reports based on large datasets
  • Excellent Excel skills (pivot tables, embedding formulas, dashboard building)
  • Good VBA & SQL skills enabling reports streamlining and automation
  • Knowledge of one or more BI Tools: SAP BO, OBIEE, Power BI, PowerQuery
  • Good level of English language skills & phone/email etiquette (min B2 level)
  • Experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server etc) will be an asset
  • Understanding of LEAN concepts will be an asset
  • Experience in using human resource and recruitment technology databases and workflows will be an asset
