Server DataBase Administrator

Currently, for our client who is a global technology company, we are looking for a Server DataBase Administrator.

Requairements:

• Analytical mindset in troubleshooting and resolving database problems.
• 5 + years of experience with Database Administration for SQL Server
• Good understanding in Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Experience with backups, restores, and recovery models.
• Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options.
• Expertise in SQL language.
• Experience in implementing operational automation using scripts (PowerShell, Ansible playbooks).
• Experience working with Windows servers, including.
• Good communication and documentation skills in English

Responsibilities:

• Design, test, plan, implement, protect, operate, manage and maintain our company's databases.
• Responde in a timely manner to user reported errors.
• Protect the database against threats or unauthorized access by establishing and maintaining security and integrity control.
• Report on metrics regarding usage and performance.
• Instal and upgrade RDBMS infrastructures.
• Make recommendations for database improvements (policies, procedures & standards).
• Identify problems of system perfomance.

This position includes participation in the watch duty role (24/7 on call for a total of about 7 to 10 days per month).
